We are very excited to be exhibiting Imagines at the 2015 Dublin Art Book Fair in Temple Bar Gallery. Designed by Rossi McAuley and featuring work by Benjamin Dwyer, Kimberly Campanello, Garth Knox, and NDP editor/ publisher Jonathan Creasy, Imagines is a unique piece of art, and we are proud to bring it home to Dublin and share it with you. On the evening of November 19, we will present the book, which will be on exhibition for the duration of the Book Fair.
Here's what Irish writer Mary Costello has to say about the project...
'Imagines is a collaboration in the finest tradition. I had the sense of each artist – poet, composer, musician – embarking on an archaeological dig within self and symbol and then surfacing and coming together with their primal finds, their offerings. There is something almost alchemical about this fusion, this union, something mysterious and beyond words.
The book itself is exquisite. The poet’s text, the composer’s score, the violist's notes hovering over the pages – along with the editor’s notes and the elegant design – make this a thing of rare beauty.'
